The Homeopathic Academy of the Naturopathic Physicians
The Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (HANP) is a specialty organization within the naturopathic medical profession. A nonprofit relying on volunteer work, the mission of the HANP is to promote excellence in the practice of homeopathy among naturopathic physicians. The organization establishes and upholds specialist standards, provides education and mentorship, and is committed to protecting and preserving homeopathy as a core therapeutic modality within the naturopathic profession.
HANP encourages the development and improvement of homeopathic curriculum at naturopathic colleges and offers homeopathic continuing education. In addition, the organization provides board certification in classical homeopathy to naturopathic physicians, and works with other homeopathic organizations toward the further advancement of the homeopathic profession. The HANP also distributes its’ peer-reviewed annual journal of homeopathic practice – Simillimum.
HANP was formed from a nucleus of dedicated practitioners who sought homeopathic education and in 1985, became a specialty organization within the naturopathic profession. It gained the right to administer the Homeopathic Board Certification Exam, created by its committee.
