Designed to connect and support retailers who champion the industry’s products with manufacturers, this event brings together senior executives from the homeopathic industry and professionals from adjacent associations before hearing the Integrative Medicine Retailer Award winner share retail initiatives for natural products.
Integrative Medicine Retailer Award Presented to Walgreens
Michael Wolf, PharmD, The Walgreen Company’s Senior Director/Divisional Merchandise Manager, OTC Drugs, will be onsite accepting the award. Drawing on his 20 years as a valued leader of the Walgreens team, Mike will give an overview of the company’s OTC drug strategy to deliver expertise, convenience, and value to its customers. He will also share how the trusted superstore links its priorities to defining its customers as cost conscious, digitally savvy, proactive, and evolving.
The Integrative Medicine Retailer Award has been previously accepted by Wegmans Food Markets, Rite Aid, Meijer, Inc., and H-E-B.

Exploring Teaching Homeopathy in U.S. Pharmacy Schools
Presented by William R. Doucette, Ph.D.
Dr. Doucette is the Deborah K. Veal Professor in Health-Care Policy in the Department of Pharmacy Practice & Science at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. His research interests include ways that pharmacists, especially in the community, can influence medication use. Bill is currently working to publish a study of data collected in Winter 2021–2022 on the status of homeopathy being taught in U.S. pharmacy schools. The study emphasized preparing pharmacists to be reliable sources of information for patients when they ask about homeopathic products. If published, the study would be just one of nearly 200 peer-reviewed publications in which he has been involved. As a professor, he hopes to advance ways that pharmacists can help patients take their medications safely and effectively.
