Meet AAHP’s Newest Board Member
Brenda Van Goethem, Director of Regulatory Compliance & Change Management for Nature’s Way, is the newest member of AAHP’s Board of Directors. Elections for two-year terms were held at the association’s Annual Membership Meeting on March 8, 2024.
With more than 20 years of regulatory experience in the homeopathic and dietary supplement industries, Brenda currently leads regulatory teams comprising of Labeling Compliance, Change Management, and Pharmacovigilance/Complaint Management.
“During my tenure at Nature’s Way, AAHP has been an invaluable resource to my team for staying current on new or emerging regulatory topics, educational training, and clarity of complex labeling issues,” says Brenda. “Serving as a leader in producing and distributing safe, compliant homeopathic products is a priority to us and I look forward to significantly contributing to AAHP’s aligned mission of advancing manufacturing excellence.”
Prior to joining the Schwabe North America company in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 2011, Brenda held positions at Nerac, EuroPharma, and Enzymatic Therapy, and gained experience in quality assurance at several food companies including Ore-Ida Foods. She was a member of the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA) Board of Trustees from 2016–2021, serving as the board’s vice chair (2018–2019) and chair (2019–2020). Brenda earned her bachelor’s in science in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
